We’re proud to announce Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) as an official partner of BE Athletics.

Climbing is a sport built on precision, strength, focus, and trust. It asks athletes to move with confidence under pressure, and its presence in Canada continues to grow.

That makes this partnership a meaningful place for BE Athletics to begin.

Why Climbing Escalade Canada

Climbing Escalade Canada is the National Sport Organization for competition climbing in Canada, helping guide the sport’s growth across the country.

Since its incorporation in 2012, the organization has led Canadian competition climbing through a defining period, including recognition by the Canadian Olympic Committee in 2016 and continued progress internationally.

Today, its work spans Boulder, Lead, Speed, and Para-Climbing, connecting national development with international competition and the Olympic and Paralympic pathway.

That role carries real meaning. Behind every athlete on the wall is a larger structure of events, standards, selection pathways, and support — the kind of work that allows a sport to grow with care.

For BE Athletics, that purpose matters. Climbing Escalade Canada is serious about performance, thoughtful in how it supports athletes, and committed to building something lasting for Canadian climbing.

Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of Climbing Escalade Canada, shared: “This partnership with BE Athletics is about much more than apparel — it is about working with a Canadian company that shares our values of excellence, innovation, and athlete-centered service. From day one, the BE Athletics team has been incredibly collaborative, responsive, and invested in understanding the unique needs of our athletes. Our National Team athletes are proud to wear these uniforms, and we believe they represent Canada with both confidence and style wherever they compete.”

We are grateful for that trust, and honoured to play a role in how Canadian climbers show up in competition.

Built for the Demands of Competition

Climbing asks a lot from athletes.

It requires control, creativity, patience, and power. What athletes wear cannot be an afterthought. It needs to feel right under pressure and carry the identity of a national team with purpose.

From the beginning, the process was shaped by the realities of the sport. The CEC team brought a clear understanding of what the athletes needed, and our role was to listen, refine, and help create uniforms built for international competition.

The design details behind the kit deserve their own closer look, from athlete feedback and uniform requirements to the visual choices that shaped the final collection. We’ll be sharing more on that process in an upcoming design feature.

Canadian Climbing in Motion

Canadian climbing is entering an important moment.

In 2026, national team athletes will compete across the World Cup circuit in Boulder, Lead, Speed, and Para-Climbing. The next generation will represent Canada at the Youth World Championships in Italy, while National Championships and National Team selection events continue across the country.

Together, these events are part of the larger build toward Los Angeles 2028 and the continued growth of Canadian climbing.

“Canadian climbing continues to build incredible momentum. We have seen athletes achieve breakthrough performances on the international stage, including Oscar Baudrand's impressive appearance in the Men's Boulder Final in Madrid. At the same time, a new generation of talented athletes is emerging through our development pathway and making their mark nationally and internationally.” - Christiane Marceau, Executive Director, CEC.

That mix of breakthrough performance and emerging talent is part of what makes this work so important. The sport is building, and we are proud to contribute in a small but visible way.

A Meaningful Partner

As the first official partner of BE Athletics, Climbing Escalade Canada gives this next step a clear sense of direction.

BE Ultimate CEO Rumi Tejpar shared, "We have been a huge fan of the sport and are in awe of the athleticism. We were so thrilled to get the opportunity to gear up these athletes and help them perform at their best."

Starting here means working with an organization that takes the details seriously, from athlete needs to long-term development to how Canada is represented in competition.

The national program is helping shape what competition climbing can become in this country. For BE Athletics, it is a privilege to support that work and the athletes carrying it forward.
